The SU Humanities Center is administered for the College of Arts & Sciences by Gregg Lambert, Dean’s Professor of the Humanities and Founding Director. Gregg’s administrative team includes Executive Assistant Kathryn Tunkel, Grants & Research Specialist Melissa Burman, Office Assistant Karen Ortega, and Research and Technology Fellow, Eugene B Young. All decisions concerning policy and governance of The SU Humanities Center are determined by the Director in consultation with the Faculty Advisory Board, which includes one faculty member from each humanities department (each serving for three-year terms), as well as representatives from one-third of the participating interdisciplinary programs and units from other divisions in the University (rotating yearly). The Humanities Center works in conjunction with the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, George M. Langford, and the College’s Humanities Council, to determine the overall vision for the Humanities at Syracuse University.
