Everyday Heroism: The Subversive Power Of Compassion

This lecture is based on research for her book, The Zookeeper’s Wife (2007), which tells the story of how Jan and Antonina Zabinski gave refuge at the Warsaw Zoo to hundreds of Holocaust refugees, and which speculates broadly on the human relationship with nature.
